Special Thanks for Fair:
I would like to offer a special thanks to the Kendall County Fair Association for their hard work in organizing the 2008 Kendall County Fair. The Fair was a tremendous success and gave everyone the opportunity to celebrate the traditions of our great county.
The kids enjoyed the rides, the face painting, and, of course, the balloons while the parents got the chance to catch up with old friends and meet some neighbors for the first time. Naturally, we enjoyed plenty of great food choices provided by some local organizations such as the Kendall-Grundy Beef Association, the Kendall County Pork Producers and the Kendall County Corn Growers Association.
The Kendall County Republicans were proud to be a part of such a well-attended, well-run event. Thank you to all who stopped by and said ‘hello’ and to those who introduced themselves to our candidates and supporters.
In essence, the Kendall County Fair was just what it was supposed to be: a few days out of the summer where we celebrate the heritage of our agricultural county while welcoming our new neighbors during the great weather.
Congratulations to all of the 4-H kids who participated in the Fair. Your dedication and involvement are evident in the quality of your exhibits as well as the way in which you conducted yourselves during the Fair.
Many thanks to all the Board members, vendors and volunteers who made the 2008 Kendall County Fair something of which Kendall County should be very proud.
